My pails are going to be featured on Kiddley
and I am thrilled!
Want to make one? it's easy
-cut out illustrations from a damaged or favorite book
-glue stick them on to the pail
-once pail is covered with illustrations, brush on a few layers of modge podge
-once dry, add your favorite pom-pom trim or ribbon
-fill with candy, valentines, cookies, or love letters

Babies seem to be everywhere lately...and more are on the way!!!!
This is for a friend of mine who had her baby 5 weeks early, it might be a little big on him, but he will grow into it.
Happy Friday!!!-It is going to be freezing here in Chicago, and I plan on staying inside.
GO BEARS!!!

When Pearl was just a baby, Georgia came up with the best nickname for her. Pearly Squirrely, so when I saw this painting I had to snatch it up. Now I am addicted to almost all things "squirrel". I am also addicted to The Black Apple blog and I love EVERYTHING in her etsy shop.

Pearl bought a decorate your own slipper kit at the fabric store a few days ago.
This kit was on clearance, or I never would have bought it, but who can argue with getting a pair of slippers for $3?
The foam sticker/decorations lasted about 2 days.
here are the new improved slippers!!

I have had these pails for a long time, and just now decided what to do with them.
I can't wait to fill these up on Valentines Day with chocolates and valentines for my girls.
Here is a close up and a view of the other side
(i was so excited to post about these, that I just now realized the glue blobs).
These were so much fun to make-
if you would like to make one, i was at target yesterday and saw small pails in their valentines day section.

I made this hat tonight, and I already posted it for sale in my shop.

This was a breeze to knit, compared to the fair isle I have been working on.
You might be seeing more of these, if this one sells.

Here you have the new, improved, smaller size hat.
this hat is fun to knit and i think I can get 2 hats out of both skeins-
Interested in the pattern? check out MAGKNITS.
I also bought some varigated dark green and know that will be next on the needles!!
my goal is to make 1 pair of socks or 1 hat per month for 12 months and
then when Christmas comes around again I should have 12 gifts.
(but this one is for me, I love it too much.)

This weekend I have been stuck at home with the flu, then passed it on to both my girls, and then the husband.
NOW that we are all recovered, I can actually show you what I have been working on.

this is from the november 2006 Magknits-I love the pattern and the yarn, but am going to frog it to make the smaller size!!
(I thought it would have a cool saggy beret type look but now that i see the back is rolling up-I am going to unravel it.)
who knows, maybe i messed up the pattern-after all, I was taking care
of 3 sick folks while knitting it.(i'll mark it up as therapy knitting)
Today when everyone was feeling better, Pearl and I worked on a calendar
(this is one of the photos Pearl took-we'll show you the completed calendar soon).
